Implicit Tests, Without The Lab

Five reaction-time methods that measure what people feel before they can explain it: brand associations, design preference, hidden bias. Set up in minutes with AI, run on verified humans, and let the D-scores compute themselves. Five methods, desktop and mobile, Greenwald D-scores. Live today.

THE METHODS

Five Ways To Read System 1.

Each measures a different implicit signal, from raw brand association to which design your gut prefers.

Reaction Time Test

How strongly people tie your brand, product or concept to a quality, measured before they can edit the answer. An object and a quality appear together and the respondent taps yes or no as fast as they can. Returns a Greenwald D-score per object.

Implicit Comparison

Which of two or three objects wins on a dimension: modern versus traditional, like versus dislike, premium versus cheap. Returns preference strength between objects.

Implicit Attribute

Which execution, such as a logo, pack or key visual, actually owns the quality you want. Up to three variants per object. Returns per-variant association scores.

Go/No-Go (GNAT)

Category and attribute association with a built-in attention check that screens out noise.

Rapid Visual Test

Gut-level which-one visual preference: the instinctive pull no survey will admit.

Greenwald D-Scores

The publishable implicit metric, computed, banded and quality-flagged for you.

SET UP IN MINUTES

You Bring The Brands, We Bring The Method

Implicit tests used to mean a psychologist, a lab and weeks of scripting. Here it is a question type. Add your objects, and the platform handles the counterbalancing, the training gates and the timing.

Suggest With AI

Describe the goal and AI proposes the objects, qualities, poles, instructions and settings, on every one of the five tests.

Attribute Library

Save the qualities and images you use and reuse them across studies in one click.

Text Or Image Stimuli

Every object, pole, variant and category takes a word or a picture.

Smart Defaults

Training thresholds, repetitions, counterbalancing and timing come pre-tuned to published practice. No psychology degree required.

THE RESPONDENT EXPERIENCE

Built For Real Thumbs And Real Attention

An implicit test is only as good as the milliseconds it captures. The runner is engineered so the timing, and the data, hold up.

Counterbalancing

Button sides randomise per respondent and per trial, so which side is yes never biases the read.

Calibration And Training

Practice rounds with an accuracy gate. Inattentive respondents are retrained or screened out before the real trials.

Millisecond Timing

Reaction time is captured the instant the stimulus paints, then filtered to the 300 to 10,000 millisecond window from the literature.

Read, Then Go

Instructions can require a genuine read, and an optional countdown primes the respondent before timing starts.

Mobile And Keyboard

Big touch buttons from 320px up, arrow keys on desktop, and every image preloaded so nothing lags mid-trial.

Progress, Your Way

A progress bar, a plain counter, or a clean no-prompt run.

THE SCIENCE, DONE FOR YOU

D-Scores You Don't Have To Calculate

Under the hood is the Greenwald (2003) D-score, the standard for implicit association. It is computed per object and per variant, banded from strong to none, and flagged for data quality, so you read a preference rather than a spreadsheet of latencies.

You get a D-score per object, seven preference bands, reaction-time means, and quality flags.

APPLICATIONS

What Implicit Reveals

The questions people cannot answer honestly, because the truth is faster than words.

Brand Associations

Which qualities your brand really owns in memory, versus the ones it only claims. Best with the Reaction Time Test.

Logo And Pack Variants

Put three executions head to head and see which instinctively signals the attribute you are designing for. Best with Implicit Attribute.

Ad And Creative Pre-Test

Read the gut reaction to a visual before it ships. Best with the Rapid Visual Test.

Head-To-Head Preference

Which concept, name or claim wins on the dimension that matters. Best with Implicit Comparison.

Claim And Message Fit

Does the audience implicitly link your message to the brand, or is the association weaker than the deck suggests? Best with Go/No-Go.

Bias And Sensitive Topics

Attitudes people will not state out loud, surfaced through response speed rather than opinion. Best with the Reaction Time Test.
